Our team has a collective 50+ years of experience in high-technology industries from innovative product startups, like Everykey, to tech giants, like Oracle.
Anthony Hughes | Founder and President
Anthony founded The Lanterman Group after years of working with clients who were slow to respond to technology change and lost their competitive advantage. Prior to establishing The Lanterman Group, Anthony was the President and CTO of an Ohio-based startup additive manufacturing company. In addition to his work as an manufacturing executive, Anthony spent 15 years in the software industry, where he held key sales and consulting management positions at Oracle and PTC.
Anthony is also on the Board of Directors for the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI), where he is responsible for the creation of programs centered on additive manufacturing technologies expected to fuel economic growth strategies for Ohio’s incubation efforts. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Tom Santelle | Vice President
Tom joined The Lanterman Group to share his passion for manufacturing, science and technology and collaborate with imaginative professionals who are inspired to think differently and attain the unattainable. Previous to The Lanterman Group, Tom served as the Director of Strategic Programs for an Ohio-based startup additive manufacturing company, where he facilitated the technical execution and process engineering of state, federal, and privately funded development activities.
Tom brings more than 30 years of experience and was the President and CEO of Real Time Consulting, Inc., a successful software engineering company specializing in the development of mission critical data collection and visualization solutions for DoJ and DoD special forces. Tom also has a 14 year work history with Autodesk where he led the company’s efforts to expand its Authorized Training Center network. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Akron.

Nick Bush | Principal | Bush Consulting Group
Nicholas is the founder and Principal of Bush Consulting Group. Nick brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience in conducting and leading growth strategy assignments in diverse fields ranging from specialty chemicals and medical devices to software. Nick is responsible for thought leadership, mentoring, and providing strategic direction to the firm. Prior to founding Bush Consulting Group in 2011, Nick served in top leadership roles at a Cleveland-based product technology consulting firm and for a leading strategy firm spinout in Providence, Rhode Island, and Chicago. He holds degrees in business and political science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Nick works with The Lanterman Group to help companies seamlessly address strategic growth issues associated with their pursuit of additive manufacturing or 3-D printing technologies.
Tim Simpson, PhD. | Paul Morrow Professor of Engineering Design and Manufacturing | Pennsylvania State University
Metal Additive Manufacturing | Instructional Design
Tim serves as a Paul Morrow Professor of Engineering Design and Manufacturing at Pennsylvania State University. He has strong relationships with commercialization partners and is actively involved in creating a stronger community between universities and industry. His areas of expertise include 3D printing, additive manufacturing, engineering design, design optimization, and launching innovative products. Tim serves as Director of Additive Manufacturing and Design Graduate Program at Pennsylvania State University, where coordinates and oversees all aspects of the first-of-its-kind online and in resident graduate program. He is also Co-Director of Penn State CIMP-3D, a world-class resource for advancing and deploying additive manufacturing (AM) technology. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Tim works with The Lanterman Group on projects focused on additive manufacturing and design and assists with our efforts focused on additive manufacturing training.
Brett Conner, PhD. | Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center and Associate Professor of Manufacturing Engineering| Youngstown State University
Metal Additive Manufacturing
Brett serves as Associate Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering as well as Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center at Youngstown State University. He has 15 years of experience managing teams to transition technology from the earliest stages of development through to commercialization. Brett has led innovation and research & development activities within large and small organizations in government, industry, and academia. He is an Air Force veteran with research, development, acquisition and policy experience. Post-Air Force career includes leading a contractor team providing technology development expertise in support of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) Joint Program Office. He currently leads cutting-edge research in the field of additive manufacturing. Brett received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Brett works with The Lanterman Group on metal additive manufacturing projects.
Aaron Magnin | Technical Marketing Manager | Autodesk
Design and Manufacturing Simulation
Aaron Magnin is currently Technical Marketing Manager for Fusion 360 at Autodesk, based out of their San Francisco office. In this role, he develops marketing and training content with Fusion 360, Netfabb, and other solutions related to additive manufacturing, with an emphasis on simulation capabilities. For this, he draws on expertise gained in his past role as a Simulation Product Manager for a CFD, FEA, plastic moldflow, and kinematic simulation software, and his Mechanical Engineering degree.
Aaron works with The Lanterman Group on projects focused on design and simulation and assists with our efforts focused on additive manufacturing training.
