Anthony Hughes | Founder and President of The Lanterman Group
Anthony is the Founder and President of The Lanterman Group (“TLG”), an “exponential strategy, design and enablement firm” that specializes in helping companies exploit advanced technologies – additive manufacturing, internet of things, robotics, machine learning, etc., into products and services that drive next levels of competitiveness. TLG works with both startup companies in exciting industries and established firms looking to try something new. Their work results in products and/or services that are grounded in business viability, market desirability and technical feasibility.
Anthony founded TLG in 2015 after years of working with clients who were slow to respond to technology change and lost their competitive advantage. TLG was thus created to help companies apply these emerging advanced technologies to achieve profound change for their organizations. The firm offers a unique combination of big, strategic thinkers who have a relentless drive for action, a dedicated and experienced enablement team capable of collaborative and creative problem solving, coupled with the customer intimacy and dedication of a mom and pop. TLG has a collective 50+ years of experience in high-technology industries with innovative product startups, like Everykey, and tech giants, like Oracle, Autodesk and PTC.
Prior to establishing The Lanterman Group, Anthony was the President and CTO of an Ohio-based additive manufacturing company. While there, he led the company’s triple-digit growth, gained entry into the America Makes consortium (while also serving as secretary of the America Makes IP sub-committee), and helped the company receive four program awards. In addition to his work as an additive manufacturing executive, Anthony spent 15 years in the software industry, where he held key management positions at Oracle and PTC.
Anthony is also on the Board of Directors for the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI), where he is responsible for the creation of programs centered on additive manufacturing technologies expected to fuel economic growth strategies for Ohio’s incubation efforts. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Tom has also worked in the engineering and technical field for more than 25 years, as a design engineer, an application engineer, and R&D program director for an additive manufacturing company. As Director of Strategic Programs, he facilitated the technical execution and process engineering of state, federal, and privately funded development activities. Tom also has a 14 year work history with Autodesk, Inc., a world leader in 3D design software, where he was an application engineer and senior instructor and led the company’s efforts to expand its Authorized Training Center network.
